Our staff and their biographies:
Dave
Long brings more than
20 years management experience to the Sunbelt team. He has
owned and sold four successful companies in that time span.
Dave has been on both the buying and selling sides of business
transactions and offers his clients a broad base of “real
life” experiences.
He is an active member of the
In ternational Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the
Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce and has earned the highly
respected accreditation of Certified Business Intermediary.
Dave has been a principal at Sunbelt Business Advisors for
four years and has been directly involved in dozens of
business transfers.
Bernie
Amos
Assoicate Broker for
Sunbelt Business Brokers of North and Central Arizona, is a
seasoned executive and entrepreneur. His extensive experience
includes executive management, marketing management,
engineering management, manufacturing management, project
management, and hands-on engineering. An
engineering graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his
career began as a project engineer with Grumman Aerospace
Corp.
Bernie’s
entrepreneurial experience began when he opened a restaurant
while still with Grumman.
This eventually led to his first business sale in 1973.
Later, in 1980, M. Amos co-founded a small engineering
company. Here he
led an innovative development team to create state of the art
communication equipment, SCE Corp.
Bernie
moved from New York in late 1995 to Arizona founding Arizona
Sunbelt Business Brokers LLC, in 1996. After seven years as
Managing Partner, Mr. Amos sold the company.
Over
the last twenty years Mr. Amos has been directly involved in
deals ranging from $10,000 to $10,000,000 and has worked with
well over one hundred business owners seeking a sale of or
restructuring of their companies.
Brian Harron
Designated
Broker for Sunbelt Business Brokers of North and Central
Arizona. Prescott, Arizona Office. Brian has
been actively involved in the buying, selling and leasing of
restaurant businesses since 1980.
He is the author of TIPS ON SELLING A RESTAURANT
BUSINESS which he published in 1992, a frequent contributor of
restaurant brokerage articles to restaurant and real estate
publications and regularly leads workshops on how to buy or
sell a restaurant business.
During
his career, Brian has been the owner of a restaurant
management, operations and consulting company, president of a
meat and grocery company, the chief operating officer of the
National Restaurant Association, publisher of a news magazine
for the restaurant business,
a college professor directing a hotel and restaurant
management program and the owner / operator of several
restaurants.
Brian
is a graduate of The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management
at
Cornell
University
and holds a Master’s Degree in Education and Marketing from
the University of North Dakota.
